Highlights of Nepal - Itinerary


Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu (1370 m) / Welcome Dinner
upon arrival meet and greet by Motorcycle Expeditions representative (Road captain) at the airport and later board the waiting vehicle and drive to Hotel in Patan in a private deluxe a/c vehicle accompanied by the representative. Later in the afternoon, introduction to the Royal Enfield Motorcycles. There will be a short briefing about the safety and the proper speed to ride on the roads of Nepal. Dinner out in a typical Nepalese, overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Ride from Patan to Daman (121 km) 4/5 hours on the road.
After breakfast, we negotiate the traffic out of the Kathmandu city and ride out of the valley at the cross section of the ring road at Kalanki and then set out for check post at Nagdhunga, just past Thankot). From here onwards road becomes narrow and steep with sharp bends all the way (60 km) till Daman. One can also view the mountain panorama including Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest –8848m), the highest peak in the world. Overnight and dinner at the hotel, overnight and dinner at the hotel.

Day 03: Ride from Daman to Chitwan (125Kms) 5/6hours.
After morning breakfast ride through the winding downhill road from the height of 2322m we reach to the bottom of a foothill at around 415m, where one of the finest preserved national parks called Chitwan National park which house the endangered one horned rhino. On arrival, lunch at the hotel and afternoon at leisure, a short walk around the town is interesting to explore the daily life of locals. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Jungle Activities
Early morning the guests are again taken for a 3 hour wildlife safari on an Elephant to view and photograph wildlife. In late morning visit the Elephant stables where the resident naturalist highlights the life of the beast. This is an interesting hour with the elephants and the guests get the opportunity of participating and witnessing the rare scene of elephants at bath.

PM: Guests are taken for a jungles walks/canoe ride or other activists depending upon the feasibility, which are normally decided by the camp managers. The Chitwan jungle comprising of Sal forests and riverine forests and visiting the numerous lakes found inside the National park after the canoe ride, meet waiting vehicles for the drive to the resort. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Ride Chitwan to Tansen (approx. 156Kms) 6/7hours
After breakfast, we negotiate mostly the plain highways and for almost 100Kms and after reaching Butwal we follow the uphill road almost up to Tansen. Tansen is situated on the slopes of Shreenagar Danda at an altitude of 1343mts. The views from Tansen are spectacular.

Day 06: Ride from Tansen to Pokhara (approx. 130 Kms) 4/5hours.
After leisurely breakfast retrace the same route for a short distance and later take a diversion towards the famous Siddhartha It’s a relentlessly twisting road, Pokhara stands at 884 m above sea level, about 700 m lower than Kathmandu Valley. In Kathmandu Valley the high temples are all around you, in Pokhara it is the mountains. Only foothills separate Pokhara form the full height of the Himalayas, and the magnificent 8000 m. peaks of the Annapurna range, Overnight and dinner at the hotel.

Day 07: Pokhara at leisure
It’s a beautiful town surrounded by high Himalayan snow-capped mountains on the board of Fewa Lake. Very touristic and modern town and quite busy, a stroll around the Lake is definitely an ideal option evening dinner and overnight at the hotel. 

Day 08: Ride from Pokhara to Nuwakot (196 Kilometers)
We will commence early morning to Nuwakot. This day’s ride is mostly on the Pokhara/Kathmandu highway. The red clay hillsides make a sharp contrast with the blue of the Trishuli River "City of nine hills". The place has carried a long history of the entire country Nepal. After Mugling junction, road gets really interesting till Nuwakot. This small town is located in middle of nowhere, afternoon at leisure; we can stroll down to the village and spend time with locals. Overnight and dinner at the hotel. 

Day 09: Ride Nuwakot to Kathmandu (approx. 72Kms) 4/5hours.
After breakfast we stroll around Nuwakot Durbar (Palace) and surrounding. The palace is at the top of a hill which is 7 kilometres away from headquartering of Nuwakot district. Nuwakot Durbar is one of the historic sites with ancient wood carving and sculptures that aged back to seventeenth century.  The route from Rani Pauwa slowly descends via Kakani to Balaju. The sunset over Mt. Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Dorji Lakpa etc. from Kakani is magnificent, there are steep bends and descents and the riders need to be extra careful with the oncoming traffic from Kathmandu at Gongabu to slowly negotiate our way to the hotel, overnight and dinner at the hotel.

Day 10: In Kathmandu
After breakfast, meet at the lobby and proceed for the sightseeing tour of the ancient Kathmandu city with its many beautiful temples and shopping courtyards. As one crosses from the modern area of New Road into the Durbar Square, the onetime Freak Street, one is suddenly in the midst of Kathmandu’s famed medieval architecture. The major tourist attraction on this tour includes a visit to the Hanuman Dhoka (Hanuman gate) which takes its name from the Monkey God, Hanuman from the epic, Ramayana.Continue drive to Swayambhunath Stupa - one of the protected monument sites of the Kathmandu

After lunch board the waiting vehicle and drive to the ancient Bhaktapur City or the “City of Devotees” situated at an altitude of 1,401 m, 12 kilometers east of Kathmandu. Bhaktapur covers an area of 4 square miles and is shaped like a conch shell. Pottery and weavings are its traditional industries. The major sightseeing places in Bhaktapur include: EVE: Farewell dinner at one of the finest local restaurant Rum Doodle or similar. After dinner back to the hotel.

Day 11: Final Departure
After breakfast free until the flight time, later transfer to the airport for the onward flight. Our service ends here.
