Uttarakhand Motorcycle Tour - Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi, India (International Arrivals)
Most of flights arrive around midnight and on your arrival in India, Motorcycle Expeditions representative will meet & greet you at the airport IGIA, and (Indira Gandhi International Airport).  And accompany with a private bus or taxi to your hotel accommodation in New Delhi for overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh (532 m: 245 kms/ 6 Hrs.)
Early breakfast, transfer by train (Shatabdi Express) to Rishikesh 245 km. Enroute, Haridwar an ancient city ("gateway to the Gods") and the Holiest place along with four main pilgrimages of India (with Prayag, Ujjain and Nasik). On the ghats (platforms built in tiers to access the level of the water), the air charged with emotion when resonate music and songs (Aarti) offered to Lord Shiva. Rishikesh is 25 km north of the city Haridwar known as ”Yoga capital of the World”.

After evening tea, short briefing on the Motorcycle Tour. And a quick rundown of road safety precautions and check of personal royal machine, we will start out on the road to the surrounding places into the mountains.  This is your chance to get acquainted with your bike and get to know the roads. Discuss about the next day programme on the dinner table, Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Rishikesh- Narendra Nagar - Chamba - Uttarkashi (1158 m: 136 km/5-6 Hrs.)
Early morning after breakfast ride the bike through terraced fields around Narendra Nagar. Afternoon Arrival at Uttarkashi, town famous for historic temples and monuments situated near to the source of the Ganges. Everyday Chanting of Mantras and music in the god Shiva’s temple creates the environment more pleasant from morning till night. Opposite, the Shakti temple is dedicated to the goddess energy. A few kilometres from Uttarkashi, between wooded hills and cultivated terraces, some Sadhus use to live in the mountains. These ascetics absolute quest live in these huge and majestic landscapes and lead a life of spiritual discipline advocated renunciation and detachment, Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4: Uttarkashi - Gangnani- Bahodi-Harsil-Gangotri (3,415 m: 121 kms/ 5-6 Hrs.)
After the departure from Uttarkashi, we make a brief stop at Gangnani, haven dominated by snowy peaks. The pilgrim can stop at the spa to take a holy bath and purify his sin. We then head back to Harsil, pretty hamlet on the other side of the Bhagirathi. And then ride to Gangotri is one of the holiest places.  Back to Harsil, and have a traditional meal at the inhabitant according to local customs. After the meal, we are witnessing a Garhwali dance, Overnight stay at camp.

Day 5: Gangotri - Rudrprayag (895 m: 268 km/ 9-10 Hrs.)
Today’s ride is one of the Long and adventurous ride of our whole safari, it starts from Gangotri to Rudrprayag more than 250kms. And riding a bike along with Bhagirathi River offers a spectacular view of mountainous region, Rudrprayag, a holy place is located at the confluence of two holy rivers, Mandakini and Alaknanda .Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6: Rudrprayag – Gupthkashi - Ukhimath– Pipalkoti (1260 m: 155 kms/5-6 Hrs.)
Early morning riding starts from Rudrprayag to Ukhimath heading north to Kedarnath.  Chamoli is famous for the temples dedicated to Usha, to Shiva and Parvati. Continue to Chamoli (alt. 960 m), capital of the district of the same name. En route, we can enjoy the view of the terraced fields. Afternoon, will reach to the Pipalkoti important and vibrant city, deep in the lush green mountains, Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Pipalkoti – Badrinath- Mana village and back to Auli (3050m: 220 kms /9-10 Hrs.)
Early morning, ride to get the stunning view of mountains. Deep gorges were carved by the waves on this route. After reaching to Badrinath, Visit the main sanctuary: Walk through the bazaar to enjoy the colourful atmosphere of the crowds of pilgrims gathered at the foot of snowy Neel Kanth (alt. 6,957 m). Visit to Mana village, which is crammed with narrow stone walls leads to tiny but charismatic mana village. And come back to Auli, which is famous for ski slopes, Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8: Auli to Kausani (2750 m: 205 kms/7-8 Hrs.)
After breakfast ride to Kausani, it is known as the “Switzerland of India". Standing 1890 Mts. above the sea level, Kausani is nature's own reserve. Several snow- capped peaks stand in a stately row, over 300 kms in length, shining against the sapphire sky from Kausani. The beauty of the snow crowned Himalayan range reaches its pinnacle when the sunrays turn them into crimson and gold, Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 9:- Kausani- Ranikhet to Jim Corbett National park (1,210 m: 242 Kms /9-10 Hrs.)
After breakfast we start our bike to Jim Corbett Park through Ranikhet. It is a picturesque location surrounded by hills in northern India.

Corbett National Park is India's Oldest Wildlife sanctuary, and is named after Jim Corbett who spent many years in this area. It is heavenly home for adventure lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. It is also known for Sal tree as its main flora. Over 50 animals, 600 birds and 25 reptile species have been spotted here but the highlight of course is the Indian Tigers, Leopards and Gharials, the rare fish eating, long-nosed crocodiles. On arrival check into the Lodge & relax. Evening free for nature walk, stroll along the river, and Overnight stay at hotel in Corbett.

Day 10:- Jim Corbett national park to Delhi (269 kms /6-7 Hrs.).
After breakfast, on train, six-seven hours journey bring you back to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi and will be transfer to your hotel, Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: Delhi to your own destination.
After Breakfast, you’ll free to do anything. It’s a free day so you can rest and relax, shop and eat or explore some of the many interesting sightseeing options, for example: seeing old Delhi by bicycle rickshaw, exploring the spice market, India Gate, the houses of parliament, the legendary red fort, walk in Lodi gardens and much, much more!

We’ll enjoy a farewell lunch together in hotel restaurant/ restaurant in the city.

At the appropriate time we will transfer you to the international airport to catch your flight to your onward destination.
